I've grown up in the healthcare industry. My dad was a pediatrician for over 40 years with my mom helping to run the practice. Naturally, my siblings and I found ways to be involved in the practice. After watching my parents struggle to keep up with medical billing practices and the ever-changing insurance industry, I learned to stay abreast of new coding and compliance strategies. I worked for numerous practices before starting my own medical billing and coding company in 2008. We serve over 80 practices in the Chicago area. There are many reasons why a practice would outsource their billing and coding-they're overwhelmed, they may be billing incorrectly and losing money, their coding practices may be inefficient-we see to it that practices get the right billing and coding support that they need. We also hold workshops, training days, and seminars for practices who are looking to improve their current model without outsourcing. Solutions are scalable, there's a solution for every practice model.
ICD-10 Transition at Chicago Vision Gro...
ViewChicago Vision Group knew US transition to ICD-10 was coming, but didn't have a strategy in place to switch their practices current billing and coding practices. I came in with the 365 team to first identify the codes that would be most beneficial to their practice. We had weekly training sessions with their staff for six and created quick reference guides for the practice. Change can be difficult, but with great strategies in place, it doesn't have to be.
